FAQ

What is the easiest way to rent a storage unit?  Calling us to check availability and setting up an appointment for us to meet at the facility to fill out the lease paperwork.

How can I avoid late fees?  The obvious answer to this is to pay on time.  With that said, we are all busy and sometimes, life gets away from us and we are left wondering where did the time go?  The best way to avoid late fees is to set up an automatic payment with your bank.

How much will a storage unit hold? This varies by the size of the unit that you rent as well as your ability to pack well. Please refer to our Space Estimator page to give you an idea of how much each size will hold.

Do you have any openings? You can check out our Prices & Availability section or give us a call TODAY to check availability.

How much is the Security Deposit? Our re-fundable(as long as lease is followed) security deposit is equal to one months rent.

Do you provide a trash receptacle or dumpster?  We do not have an on-site dumpster.  Please take everything with you when you leave and dispose of it responsibly. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE HAYES COMPUTER DUMPSTER.

Do you provide the key to the unit? Each new tenant can provide their own lock for the unit. We also sell commercial disc locks for $10/each. You keep both keys.

What do I need to rent a unit? All tenants must be a minimum of 18 years of age. You will be asked some basic contact information as well as your identifiers (name, date of birth, phone number & drivers license number) when filling out your lease.

How long is the rental period? We require a 1-month minimum rental period. Our rental agreements are month to month. No long term leases!  Why pay for 3, 6 or 12 months when you only need 1 or 2 months?

What about insurance? Our insurance only covers our buildings. It does not cover your stored goods. We highly encourage you to obtain insurance. We recommend that you to talk to your insurance agent to make sure your property is insured when it is stored.

What type of payment do you accept? Currently we accept check and money orders. NO CASH OR ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS

Is it okay to store food? No, storing food in a storage unit is never a good plan.  Please keep your food at your home or give it away to family, friends or the local food pantry.
